The 8 week "Boating Skills and Seamanship" will start on Wednesday January 25 at 7 PM. Classes will last for about 2 hours per night.

The cost including text book is $30. If a boater between the ages of 12 and 16 completes the course, passes the test, and also passes the Massachusetts Environmental Police exam they are allowed to operate a motor boat without an adult aboard. Otherwise it is against the law for anyone under 16 to operate a power boat without an adult aboard.
