The Nahant Dory Club is pleased to welcome skippers, crew and friends to the National Town Class Association's 2011 National Regatta.

Competition for the National Championship will be held on Saturday and Sunday August 13th and 14th at the Nahant Dory Club.

On Friday August 12th there will also be a separate racing event. The Walsh Cup will be held (2 races) with teams representing the various fleets attending.

Regatta Notes:

Thursday August 11th, boat launch assistance will be available all day. For those arriving Thursday we are planning an informal pizza on the patio dinner.

The Regatta Entry Fee includes entry in all races and breakfast, lunch and dinner for Skipper and one Crew. Extra dinner tickets are available for each day, see the registration form to order.

The Nahant Dory Club will provide water and soft drinks and other basics during the regatta. For those needing a little extra room at the mark...the "BYOB" rule will be in effect during the four day event.

75 Years of Town Class Sailing | Slide Show | 1936 - 2011

As part of our 75 year celebration the Regatta committee is assembling photographs for a slide show to be presented during the National Regatta. We would like to have as many past, present and future Townie sailors, family and friends represented.

Please take a few minutes to pull out your favorite Townie photos for the slide show. Pick your favorite shots of racing, sailing, prepping the boats, skippers and crew...old and new! Help make this slide show a real part of Townie history! We are planning to send everyone home with a DVD too!

We are able to accept prints, slides, negatives or digital files. There are several ways you can get them to us:

1) Photos, Slides or negatives That Need Scanning: These can be mailed directly to Robert Wilson who will carefully scan your photos. They can be returned by mail immediately or given back to you at the regatta.

2) Digital Picture Files: Any digital files can be put on disc and mailed to Robert Wilson, CD/DVD's will be returned. E-mail is also a possibility but we would like good resolution and as many photos as you want to include so e-mail may not be the best route unless you have just one or two photos.

3) Digital Files Via "Dropbox", if you have or want to open a free Dropbox account please send an e-mail to Robert and he will invite you to the shared NDC Townie Dropbox folder. This is the easiest way to exchange large files over the internet.
