Rules for Reservation and Use of the Clubhouse
The Nahant Dory Club does not rent or lease its facilities at the Town Wharf. Requests for public or commercial social and recreational activities will generally not be granted.
Use for political activity will not be granted. At its discretion, the NDC Executive Council will allow members to reserve the Clubhouse for family or boating related functions. Members in good standing are obliged to meet all the guidelines and responsibilities outlined below.
The Dory Club also acknowledges its commitment to the Town of Nahant and will consider requests from Nahant civic-minded associations who may wish to hold an occasional function at the Dory Club. A current member in good standing is required to serve as a Sponsor of any such request and meet all the guidelines and responsibilities outlined below.

The following are Sponsor Responsibilities when granted a request for use of the Clubhouse;

- All requests for use of the Dory Club must be made, in writing, to the Commodore in sufficient time that the Executive Council can act on the request.
- Reservations for the Clubhouse will not be granted for Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, holidays, or the afternoon/evening before holidays during the boating season.
- Under no circumstances can alcoholic beverages be sold at the Dory Club.
- The Dory Club is not able to provide parking anywhere at the Town Wharf.
- Other Club members may use the Dory Club during reserved times.
- In all cases, special permission must be obtained from the Executive Council to use the Clubhouse after 11PM.
The following are Sponsor Responsibilities when granted a request for use of the Clubhouse;
- The Sponsor is advised to inspect the Clubhouse prior to the event and prepare it as necessary.
- The Sponsor will provide all supplies and utensils required for the event. The Club’s stove, microwave, refrigerator, kitchen sink, and barbecue grill may be used but they must be cleaned after use. The Club’s supplies are reserved for scheduled Dory Club functions.
- The Sponsor is responsible for cleaning up after the event and removing all trash. Do not leave food or beverages on the premises. Please leave the Clubhouse, patio, and surrounding area cleaner than you found it.
- The Sponsor shall be responsible to have the Nahant Dory Club Non Exclusive Use License completed and submitted.
